Lanieta Rauqeuge is an economist and a seasoned practitioner in financial systems and public sector policy, bringing a depth of regional and international experience to her leadership journey. She currently serves with Sautu Solutions and contributes to both a fintech startup and a public sector agency board in Fiji. Her work reflects a strong commitment to strengthening institutions, improving governance and creating development pathways that uplift people and communities across the Pacific.
Before returning home, Lanieta served at the IMF Executive Board in Washington DC where she engaged in global policy dialogue, macroeconomic assessments and high level decision making. Her experience in international finance and multilateral systems has shaped her ability to analyse complex economic environments and translate them into practical and culturally grounded solutions for Pacific contexts.
Across her work she is passionate about advancing leadership approaches that promote integrity, accountability and the long term wellbeing of communities. She believes deeply in the power of values based leadership to shape resilient institutions and empowered societies. Her focus is on designing and implementing development practices that not only strengthen systems but also protect the dignity, security and future of Pacific people.
